Two years ago the Japaneses perfected a synthetic blood known as Tru Blood that was meant for transfusions when blood supplies are low. Once the market of vampires was known to the Japanese they began bottling the synthetic blood for sale. This lead to vampires letting their existence known to the rest of the world in an event that has come to be known as "coming out of the coffin", an event that became known as The Great Revelation.
During the goings on in the books/tv series of True Blood, another story took place, farther north...in Michigan. Vampires and other super natural beings are being kidnapped by an unknown organization for an underground fight ring. Stay safe, stay alive, and remember...Drink responsibly...

There's never quiet after dark anymore « Thread Started on Jan 22, 2009, 12:23pm »
The weather was cold, snow and slush blanketed the streets of Monroe as the new semester of school started up again. Alyssa always hatted winter, found any excuse to stay inside as much as possible. But the hunger in her couldn't be avoided, and her fridge was less then stocked...Her parents wouldn't be over with new groceries for her until the next morning, which meant she had to venture out to eat dinner.
After attempting to get some of her friends from school to go out with her, she eventually gave up, deciding to go over to the pup and grill with a book. She found herself a white long sleeved shirt and a pair of jeans to throw on before adding her black coat and matching headband to keep her ears warm. Checking the window before she left she added a white scarf her mother made for her, seeing that is was snowing. As she stepped out of her apartment she could see her breath...and she forgot her gloves, so the hand that was clutching her book was already cold.
Living in downtown it would have been pointless to drive, but she was rather tempted to considering the cold. But she sucked it up and quickly moved to McGeady's, taking her usual seat in a corner table. She didn't need a menu by now, this was her typical haunt when there was no food in the house. She just opened her book, only to the disappointment of hearing the loud music start from upstairs. She groaned a bit as she tried to concentrate on her reading, attempting to mentally block out the sounds from upstairs...She really should have known better then to think she'd be able to read in McGeady's after the sun went down...

As David entered the bar the smell almost assaulted him, these human's needed to wash.... a lot it almost made him vomit it was that bad but he had better things to do than smell the mortals as he took a seat at the bar running a hand through his blonde mullet, well he didn't like to call it that anymore, it was more a semi-mullet now he didn't like the wierd looks the human's gave him as he sat there a bottle of A in his hand his overcoat a little warm at the moment but he didn't want to shed it as he sat watching the crowds.
As his eyes scanned the rather funny bar the music began to blare louder from upstairs he cursed his race a little for wanting to party but he didn't mind, his eyes soon caught a beautiful and most wondrous sight, a girl was in here reading, evidently studying for some important test or something he didn't really care as he took his bottle paying the bartender over to her he sat down and said "Um hey there," looking down at the books she had she must evidently have been a heavy studier.

As he sat down the waitress brought over for Alyssa a Shepard's pie and a glass of Mountain Dew. The sound of the voice startled her, not hearing the vampire sit down. With a slight jump she closed her book, thanking the waitress before looking up to her company. "Umm...Hello..."
She could tell right away that the individual wasn't human...The dated hair gave away that he was vampire. A bit of nervousness shone in her actions as she took up her fork, taking a bite of her dinner. She had to wonder why a vampire was talking to her... All she wanted was dinner and some time with her books for her test next week. In her mind she was running over all the possibilities...He might bite her..But then again he did have a bottle of True Blood in his hand... "C...Can I help you?" She finally asked, wanting to know why he was sitting with her.

"Not really," he smirked as he popped the cap off his bottle with his sharp canines "Just wondering why a beautiful girl like yourself isn't out partying on a saturday night," his smile receded as he looked at something over her shoulder, he bit his lip slightly and shook his head and turned back to her smiling again "Sorry visions from the past a little wierd huh?" he looked down at the books she had evidently been reading before he had so rudely interupted and he looked back at her with a rather genuine look of respect "Wow..... your studying to be a doctor right?" he looked at some of the books again and his eyes widened, "Jesus christ, that is a lot of books." he smirked again before leaning back slightly on his chair.
"Don't be nervous, I only bite the people I like.." he laughed slightly too himself and shook his head "Which'd be no one at the moment, with got those idiots up stairs who think any nights party night and the idiots out there who pick a fight with anyone pale its starting to get on my nerves," he leant forward slightly his eyes enquiring "So why is a beautiful girl like yourself alone on a saturday night,"

Alyssa blushed a bit with a smile as she pushed a strand of her long brown hair out of her face. "Well, a nurse actually." She corrected. "And I'm out alone because none of my friends were up to a quiet night out...In fact I'll bet they're probably over at The Fox." She said feeling a bit more comfortable seeing that he opened the bottle.
She placed the book on the seat next to her as she began to eat her food. "So what about you? Why aren't you out at Pulse with all the other vampires?" She asked curiously, still unknowing why he chose to come sit by her.

David smirked at the mention of Pulse, the whole place made him laugh quite frankly, he drank a little from his bottle of tru blood as he listened to what this beautiful girl had too say about her current predicament and what she was doing and what her friends were doing, he took another sip of tru blood before responding in a quiet, but very charming tone "A nurse?" he smiled softly "I guess you'd make a good nurse," he looked down at the books again "Judging by the way your getting through these a very knowledgeable one too,"
He looked around the bar rather absentmindly before addressing her question "Why am I not over at Pulse? the place sickens me, theres your vampires who are obssessed with what human's think of them and try anyway possible too get in with them then theres the goth humans who think that getting in with the vampires is a quick and easy way too get noticed by their stupid friends, the whole place stifles me," he leans back in his chair tipping over and spilling his bottle all over a rather large human male who quickly responds by standing up and shouting swear words

Alyssa smiled at the compliments he was giving her. "Thank you" was all she could think to say.
As she listened to David's thoughts on Pulse she simply just sat and listened while eating her food. She was now slightly ashamed she let her friends talk her into going little less then two weeks ago. But then the bottle got spilled onto the rather large guy. She looked up with a bit of fear in her eyes hoping that a fight wouldn't evolve...The last thing she needed was to be kicked out of her favorite restaurant.
